Divelements releases SkyDemon VFR Aviation Software

Divelements Limited announced today the immediate availability of the SkyDemon aviation products targeted at pilots who fly VFR in Europe and the United States. The products are designed to bring together information relating to a flight and present it intuitively, allowing pilots to spot potential hazards and judge suitability at a glance.

SkyDemon Plan is flight-planning software for home PCs running Windows. It makes creating and visualising routes easy with its fast vector mapping, including a side-on view of the route showing terrain elevation and potential conflictions with airspace and fixed obstructions. Observed and forecast weather data is automatically downloaded and projected on the route displays. NOTAMs are incorporated in to the maps and route briefing. Fuel planning and weight and balance calculations are performed automatically and help bring extra peace of mind. Routes can be exported straight to most Garmin and Magellan handheld GPS systems.

SkyDemon InFlight is GPS navigation software for Windows CE and Windows Mobile devices. Its vector moving map and side-on view of approaching features with trajectory overlaid bring an unprecedented level of situational awareness. GPS-based instruments similar to those in many glass cockpit systems present groundspeed, altitude and track. Simple route planning, NOTAM plotting and weather briefing facilities are also included.
