We've just posted a beta release of the next version of SkyDemon, containing various new features and improvements. For those who are interested, it can be found via the Downloads page. Here is a summary of the significant changes coming in the next version:

Across both platforms, this version sees much improved and simplified alerts and warnings, complete with audio (not included in beta). Runway extended centreline plotting is now fully automatic and includes glideslope plotting in the approaching features instrument. The Direct To functionality has been revamped to quickly show a list of nearest airfields, their distances and runway lengths.

In SkyDemon Plan, we now allow printing of the TAF, METAR and NOTAM briefing. In addition, our device connectivity has improved, with Skymap devices being fully supported and Garmin Aera devices supporting direct route export.

In SkyDemon Mobile, we have improved startup time and also map redraw time. The Change Units window now allows changing of the units used for distances, speeds and whether local or zulu time is displayed throughout the product.
