SkyDemon Mobile Documentation: Briefing Facilities
When you plan your route using SkyDemon Plan or SkyDemon Web and then sync to your SkyDemon Mobile device, all current NOTAM, TAF, METAR and forecast winds aloft data are copied to your device. This information is then available while in flight.
To access this information on your iPad press the NOTAM, TAF or METAR tabs to the right of the screen. The weather tabs contain decoded TAF and METAR briefings for each stage of your flight, and the NOTAM tab contains a narrow route brief which can be filtered if necessary. NOTAMS are obtained for the entire FIR, so if your route changes in-flight, your narrow route brief will adjust accordingly.
Unlike during the Planning stages, weather symbols will not be shown on the map or Virtual Radar in flying mode, in the interests of keeping the map as clear as possible. To access the decoded TAF and METAR briefings on your Mobile MD device press the Main Menu button and choose Briefing. This button will take you to a list containing all of your narrow route briefs, as well as Nearby Air Traffic Services information.
