a little update...it is 5inch not 4.8...
I am using a 5 inch Windows XP unit which is very handy, 1GB RAM, Intel Atom processor and it runs Skyplan, It has integrated GPS and also a car holder available.
It is a Viliv S5 . if wanted you can runwindows 7 one it, but xo comes with it and it fast in boot and wakeuo from sleep
I flew with the viliv a few times and no issues. I have most maps turned on, it is reasonable fast, the display could be a littler brighter for direct sunshine - but i could read it every time. Battery last around 6 hrs depending on use.
There is also a 7 inch version available. I agree 7 inch is more userfriendly size, but maybe hard to fit in the plane.
Check it out on: http://uk.dynamism.com/notebooks/viliv-x70.shtml
