Has anyone else had difficulty using gpx files generated from Skydemon Light in an MGL Voyager EFIS? Ours accepts them without difficulty when they are generated from Pocket FMS (which can output gpx as an option) but does not 'see' gpx files saved from Skydemon light, even simple ones such as direct between 2 airfields (EGLK and EGBP). Any experiences or ideas please?
Thanks
Mike M

If you'd like to post GPX files here from both software packages expressing the same route, we can take a look and see if there's anything obviously different.

Sorry for the long delay.

I have two files ready to upload for your consideration - a .gpx file and a .ert file for the same simple route, both generated by the PFMS software currently used to load routes into our MGL Voyager. We hoped this might enable you to see what differences there may be between the PFMS version of .gpx and Skydemon's. The .ert is in case you may wish to consider supporting that format.

Unfortunately when I try to attach them the 'attach' window displays with the top half missing above my screen, and I can't browse to the files to attach them. Could I e-mail them to you by any chance?

Just to let other post viewers know that the latest MGL software (Current version numbers: FlightOps system G2 1.0.0.8 Odyssey application G2 E 1.0.3.2 May 2012) will convert a SD generated route saved in .GPX format to the ERT format required by the MGL (use the "RT" F key (scroll to page 2). I flew my first cross country in my newly built Vans RV-8 and the route worked a treat. Just a shame the MGL maps are nothing compared to the SD ones .. if only.....if only

Update Nov 12: Have flown numerous cross countries this summer (well thats a joke of a word this year) with GPX imported files from SD into my Voyager and no issues to date.
