An option to set alternative default folders in SD Plan would enable routes, aircraft, etc to be saved in a Dropbox folder and then easily saved/accessed/updated/ on any PC. That way I wouldn't end up with different file on laptops and desktop. It's been mentioned in other treads so I guess others feel the same. Any chance this could be provided - I imagine it wouldn't be difficult to engineer!

I use SugarSync to do exactly this. Just point it at the SkyDemon folder under My Documents. I have it synchronised across three devices with no problem at all.

I use Microsoft SyncToy to achieve the same thing, sync the SkyDemon folder with a folder in the Dropbox directory.

We plan to eventually save all SkyDemon assets - your routes, aircraft, logs, waypoints etc - in the cloud hosted on SkyDemon's servers.

Will we retain the ability to save locally for processing without an Internet connection, and backup?

Yes, I'd like to second the ability to choose where the default data folders are kept. That would also mean I could sync via Dropbox. Since I cannot use any old cloud on office PC, would much rather this route than a proprietary SD cloud.
